How to use NinjaTrader With Windows XP & Server 2003?

This is because NinjaTrader has followed Microsoft in dropping support for these operating systems. Windows XP users are unable to connect to the NinjaTrader license server. The primary reason for this is:

• Microsoft is no longer updating security certifications via Windows Update.
• Microsoft announced end-of-support for Windows XP on April 8th, 2014 and Windows Server 2003 July 14, 2015.

Is there any way to Use NinjaTrader with Windows XP?

Yes, there is a temporary manual install of security certifications (if you don't have immediate access to an updated operating system). The steps to do this are:-

1. Download the zip file from this link NinjaTrader for Windows XP Extract these files to your Desktop.
2. First of all, install the three ".crt files". (Right click, choose "install certificate" and follow the prompts to continue)
   • gd_bundle-g2.crt
   • gdig2.crt
   • Groot-g2.crt
3. Install the three .crl files. (To install these files, right-click on the file and select "Install CRL". Some files may take up to a minute to install)
   • gdroot2-g2.crl
   • mastergodaddy2issuing.crl
   • mastergodaddyextendedissuing.crl
4. After performing these steps, run NinjaTrader7 or NinjaTrader8. It should verify the license and start working.

Please Note:-

• This manual installation of security certifications is a temporary solution.
• The issue should fix after applying this fix.
• There is no guarantee that this will work on all different updates of Windows XP.
• Upgrading the operating system can help in getting optimal performance of Ninjatrader.
